2014 Sweetheart 5K:

Join us for the Sweetheart 5k presented by Dental Care Center. Through a partnership with the Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation Department, the Tar River Running Company is excited to bring you the 6th annual event on Saturday, February 8, 2014.5 year age groups, technical race shirts, custom award medals, personalized race numbers, and more!

COUPLES DIVISION! The Sweetheart 5k will once again add a unique element of excitement to road racing by offering a couples competition. Any couple that pre-registers for the race will be eligible for additional prizes in our Sweetheart Division as we try to find the fastest couples in eastern North Carolina. Come join us for the fun and festivities!

DASH FOR THE DIAMOND! Following the award ceremonies, Wade Designs Jewelry will hold a drawing for a DIAMOND! All 5k participants are eligible, but you must be present win.

Course Info

This certified 5k course runs through the Candlewood and Greystone communities of Rocky Mount. Both Candlewood and Greystone neighborhoods are favorites to the local runners. The quiet, tree-lined streets are some of the most peaceful places to run. Gentle rolling hills offer a change of pace from what is normally found in Rocky Mount.
