Description

Kingdom Run combines a competitive athletic event with the old-fashioned hospitality and charm of a small town in rural Vermont.  Stunning views of mountains, picturesque farm country, a tree-lined canopy road and even a real stone castle make Kingdom Run live up to it's name in the beautiful and unique Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

Course Info

Kingdom Run is an out & back race on a scenic dirt road with low vehicular traffic.  The race begins and ends on the quaint and historic Irasburg Common.  5K & 10K:  hills are moderate with gradual inclines.  The half marathon offers more challenging terrain, but no monster hills.  Trees provide shade along much of the route.  All distances are measured by a global positioning device with mileage markers along the course.  Water stations are located at the 5K, 10K, and half marathon turn-around points as well as at the 5 (and 9) mile mark.

Directions

Irasburg is located on Route 58 four miles west of I-91 Exit #26 in Orleans, Vt.

The Common is located in the center of the town.

Other Info

Following the race a complimentary munchies buffet is topped off with blueberry sundaes.  Awards ceremony with prizes for male and female winners in six age categories.
