2013 Zion Half Marathon:

The Zion Half Marathon is the first in our National Park Half Marathon Series.
Our goal is to provide an incredible experience near the most beautiful places in the world.
We hope our runners take full advantage of being near these national treasures and spend a few extra days touring the park and enjoying this amazing country.

This course is going to be one of the most beautiful routes you will ever run.
The race starts on the edge of the small town of Virgin, UT.
Runners will follow the Virgin river along highway 9 all the way through the small towns of Rockville and Springdale.
For the last 3 miles the scenery is extraordinarily beautiful as the towering red rock cliffs start to surround you.
The race finishes at the Zion Giant Screen Theater parking lot at the entrance to Zion.

There is a gradual uphill to the entire course.
It is gradual. About 35 feet gain for every mile.
This is one of the most beautiful courses you will ever experience.
